Privacy Policy

PaliyTech Dubbing is a desktop app that runs on your own computer. This policy explains what data is involved when you use the app, buy a license, or visit this website — and what is never collected.
Who we are
The app and this website are made and sold by {SELLER_LEGAL_NAME}, Ukraine (“we”), who is responsible for the purchase and support records described below. Contact: Telegram @PolyDubbing_bot · e-mail support@paliy.tech · website paliy.tech.
Your videos stay on your computer
The app recognizes, translates and voices your videos on your device. Your video and audio files are never uploaded — not to us and not to anyone else. We don't collect transcripts, translations, usage statistics or telemetry, and there is no account inside the app.
Finished videos with an AI voice carry a machine-readable AI label in their metadata, as the EU AI Act requires. It contains only the program name and version and a note that the speech is synthetic — no personal data and no machine ID.
What the app sends over the internet
Some features need the internet. This is everything the app sends, and to whom:
- Online voice (on by default) — the translated text to be read aloud goes to Microsoft's online speech service. Only the text: never the video or its sound. To avoid this, choose an offline voice (available for 23 languages).
- Online translators (optional, with your own API key) — Google Gemini, Groq or DeepL receive the text to be translated, under your own account with that provider.
- Downloads — AI models and offline voices (from Hugging Face), the components that keep the app working (the video-import module from GitHub, the online-voice library from PyPI) and a small file announcing new versions (from GitHub). Like any download, these requests show your IP address to those servers; they contain none of your content.
- Videos by link — if you import a video by link, the app downloads it from the address you give. If you turn on “Cookies from browser”, your browser's cookies for that site are used only for that download and stay on your PC.
- Telegram notifications (optional) — if you set them up, a short “queue finished” message goes to your own Telegram bot.
- Activation with a purchase code — the code, your machine ID, the app version and the platform go to our license server at paliy.tech (see “Activation” below).
- “Request key” button in the activation window — sends your machine ID, your computer's name, the date, and the name and e-mail you entered (if any) to us in Telegram.
Each of these providers handles data under its own privacy policy. With an offline voice, the built-in translator and the models downloaded in advance (Settings → Offline packs), the app dubs local files with no internet connection at all.
Activation
The app derives a machine ID from an identifier of your system and binds your license key to it. The key is stored and checked on your computer: once activated, the app does not contact our servers to check the license.
Getting a key uses our systems. With a purchase code (purchases on this website), the app (version 1.0.3 and later) — or this website's Activate page — sends the purchase code, your machine ID, the app version and the platform (Windows/Mac) to our license server, which returns the key. In Telegram, you send your machine ID to our bot. The “Request key” button in the activation window sends your machine ID, your computer's name, the date and the name and e-mail you entered (if any) to us in Telegram.
Buying a license
In Telegram — through our bot @PolyDubbing_bot, paid inside Telegram (Telegram Stars). To issue and support your license, we store:
- your Telegram user ID, and your username and display name if you have them;
- the payment identifier and amount reported by Telegram;
- your machine ID(s) and the license keys issued for them;
- the dates and times of these events.
On this website — by card or PayPal through our reseller, which acts as the merchant of record: it processes the payment, taxes and invoices under its own privacy policy. It passes us the order identifier and, where it provides it, your e-mail address, so that we can issue your purchase code. Our license server stores the purchase code, the order identifier and e-mail, the machine IDs activated with the code and the keys issued for them, timestamps, and the IP address of activation requests (used to limit repeated attempts). We never receive your card or bank details. Card checkout on this website is coming soon.
We use this data only to deliver your license, re-issue a key (for example after you reinstall Windows), handle refunds and disputes, and answer support requests. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in preventing fraud. We do not sell or share this data for advertising.
We keep these records for as long as your license may need support and as required for accounting and disputes, then delete or anonymize them.
This website
This website uses no cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage and is never sent to us. The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes technical data such as IP addresses in server logs to deliver and protect the site.
Service providers
We rely on a few providers for the business side: our payment reseller (card and PayPal orders on this website), Telegram (sales bot and payments in Stars), Railway (hosting for the sales bot and the license server), Cloudflare (storage the app is downloaded from) and Vercel (this website). They may be located outside your country, including in the United States.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — write to @PolyDubbing_bot or support@paliy.tech. Deleting your record may prevent us from re-issuing a lost key. If you are in the EU, EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
The app and this website are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app changes; the date at the top shows the current version. Significant changes will be announced on this website.
